World of Tanks reaches 1.1 million concurrent users


World of Tanks reaches 1.1M concurrent players, still nowhere close to League of Legend which have more than 5 M concurrent users. Wargaming announced it recorded 1,114,000 concurrent users on its Russian servers on January 19.The free-to-play title now has 75 million registered users globally.

“Finally, we’ve breached the one million mark. We are set to scale even greater heights with considerable improvements planned for World of Tanks in 2014.Tankmen on the Russian servers all play at different times of the day and although their overall number has long since surpassed several million daily active users, the PCCU has been hovering around 900,000 gamers for the past few months,” publishing vice president Andrei Yarantsau said in a press statement published by Ausgamers.

World of Tanks generated $213 million in revenue in 2013, making it the 4th highest earning free-to-play game in the world.

World of Tanks is coming to Xbox 360 at the end of the year. Wargaming also runs World of Warships and World of Warplanes.
