Assassin’s Creed 4 composer Brian Tyler nominated for the IFMCA’s Composer of the Year award


The International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) has announced the nominees for composers demonstrating “excellence in musical scoring” in 2013 which includes a category dedicated to Best Original Score for a Video Game or Interactive Media.

Five games have been nominated this year:

Brian Tyler has also been nominated for the Composer of the Year award. He has contributed scores to other video games, including Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, he’s best known for his Hollywood gigs; Tyler’s also nominated in a non-gaming category for his contribution in Iron Man 3.

The IFMCA will announce the award results on February 20.
